Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack will announce the $580 million National Water Infrastructure Development Fund in Queensland on Monday.

More than half-a-billion dollars will be put towards constructing new dams and irrigation projects in a giant funding boost from the government.

Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack is expected to announce the $580 million National Water Infrastructure Development Fund in Queensland today.

“We aren’t afraid to back dams. We want to build more of them,” Mr McCormack told the Courier Mail.
