Murray Goulburn clawback: Farmers to share in $6m return

MURRAY GOULBURN suppliers are set to receive a total $6 million in returned clawback money in July — about $2500-$4000 for most of the co-operative’s suppliers.

But Fonterra suppliers are still waiting to hear if their processor will stump up the cash to pay the difference between its price and what Murray Goulburn suppliers received last season.

Reportedly up to $60 million could be owing to farmers who supplied Fonterra last season.

Suppliers want Fonterra to match Murray Goulburn — one farmer said it would be worth up to $96,000for them — but Fonterra and Bonlac Supply Company remain tight-lipped.
