The Northern Victoria Resource Manager (NVRM) released a seasonal outlook for the 2018/19 irrigation season today outlining projected determinations under various inflow scenarios. The projections are modelled on historic flows and that the outlooks will be updated in future months.
The main points include;
- Inflows to major storages have tracked between average and dry scenarios in the 2017/18 season to date
- Under average inflow conditions determinations in Murray and Goulburn will be 100% by mid-October.
There are a whole range of information sources that you may choose to consider when planning for the remainder of this season and into next season including; seasonal outlooks from the BOM, seasonal outlooks released by other states, the volumes of allocated but unused water and commodity price forecasts.
