Murrumbidgee IVT

The MDBA has called on IVT water from the Murrumbidgee.

The following chart shows a summary of the projected deliveries as announced by WaterNSW and the MDBA and estimates when trade from the IVT may open.

The values shown in the chart are indicative only. The actual delivery volumes will vary on a daily basis. The actual IVT volume and trade status is maintained by WaterNSW.

The actual IVT volume is periodically updated. When the IVT balance reaches 85,000ML it is assumed 15,000ML will be traded into the Murray given the current price difference between the two zones.

The distribution of the Water For Fodder allocations will also have a significant impact on the Murrumbidgee IVT. We anticipate that most of the 3GL going to the Murrumbidgee will be processed in February.

The Murrumbidgee IVT opened on 21 November 2019. Approximately 14.4GL of water was transferred out leaving the balance at 98GL. There were 47GL of applications remaining in the IVT queue on 22 November 2019.

The processing of those applications in the queue are done in line with the arrangements documented on the Murrumbidgee IVT page.
